This page explains how we create, check and update the birthday messages, images and guides on happybirthdayimages.site, so you know what to expect from everything you read here.

Original content only

Every birthday message on this site is written for this site. We do not copy lines from other websites, books, greeting cards or social media, and we do not publish quotes attributed to famous people. If a phrase sounds familiar, it is because some ideas about birthdays are universal, not because we lifted the wording.

The same applies to images. Every card image is designed by our team and generated from our own templates, colors and typography. We do not download pictures from search engines or stock collections and present them as our own.

How messages are written

Each page starts from a specific relationship and a real situation: a parent who still checks that you ate, a coworker who covered a shift, a friend who lives in another time zone. Writers aim for wording a person could actually send, with a mix of short lines for texts and longer messages for cards.

  • Messages are suitable for all ages and for sharing in families and workplaces.
  • We avoid humor that mocks age, appearance or personal circumstances.
  • We avoid content about alcohol, gambling, politics and other divisive subjects.
  • Duplicate or near-duplicate messages are removed so every line on a page is distinct.

How guides are written

Our guides focus on practical questions: what to write, how to choose a gift, how to celebrate from far away. Advice is general and based on common, sensible practice. We do not invent statistics, studies or expert quotes, and we do not recommend specific brands or accept payment for mentions.

Review and corrections

Before a page is published, it is read in full for clarity, tone, spelling and repetition. Pages are reviewed again over time and the "Updated" date at the top of each page shows when it last changed. If you find a mistake, a broken link or a message that does not feel right, please tell us through the contact page and we will look at it promptly.

Use of tools

We use software to help with drafting, layout and image generation, in the same way a writer might use a spell checker or a designer might use templates. Every page is shaped, edited and approved by a person before it goes live, and the final responsibility for what we publish is ours.

Advertising and independence

This site may show advertising to cover its costs. Advertisers have no influence over what we write. Ads are always labeled and are kept separate from the messages and images. We also link to our own birthday apps for iPhone and Android, and we say clearly when a link goes to one of our products.
